A perceived lack of time is one of the most common causes of
stress in the workplace,
regardless of seniority or industry.
“No time..” is one of the most common reasons given for failure to deliver agreed outcomes at work. Time is a
non-renewable resource. It cannot be managed, only allocated. Once an hour is used, it cannot be
recycled.
Our approach is two-pronged. Firstly, a "time allocation revolution" is needed so that you are able
to focus on the relatively small percentage of tasks that deliver the results that in turn drive your
success.
Only then do we begin the process of tactical time allocation to ensure that each of these key tasks can be carried
out effectively (as opposed to efficiently). (In our view, "effectiveness" means doing the right things well,
whilst "efficiency" means doing things rapidly, to an acceptable level and with minimal wasted effort, whether
or not they are the right things to do).
With this in mind, this Programme enables Participants
to
-
Prioritise tasks
in order to distinguish what is important from what is merely urgent
-
Allocate time
during the working day to complete all the important tasks effectively
-
Determine what can be delegated, deferred or dropped
-
Give themselves permission
to delegate or drop tasks and so not waste effort
-
Keep on top of ongoing tasks so that they maintain
momentum
-
Give themselves space to think so that they can take a more
strategic approach
The Benefits
of this approach include:

Get more of your important tasks completed in a timely manner at home
and at work
