Executives
in Transition
All Executives find
themselves in a “career transition” from
time to time.
For example:
-
A new
role within their firm or organisation
-
Change of
employer
-
Change of
career direction
-
Redundancy
-
Retirement
Each transition is as
unique as the person it affects. Each provides its own
challenges and demands its own action plan in order to
ensure the most positive outcome. Issues may include
questions such as:
-
How will
my success be judged in my new role?
-
How can I
be most successful?
-
How can I
ensure that my experience with new firm will be positive
and successful?
-
What
next? How do I
start….?
-
There
must be more to life than this… What is my purpose
here?
-
How can I
make the maximum positive difference
in….?
Recognising that no
two Transitions are alike, we have developed a graduated,
modular approach that allows Executives to choose the
support package they feel best fits their
needs.
How does it
work?
We start with a
questionnaire that seeks to clarify the real issues to be
addressed. A
key element is to highlight what really drives the Executive
at a deep emotional level. It also drives an
examination of factors that represent “success” for the
individual, whether these are specific outcomes or more
nebulous “feelings”. A Financial Review template
is included.
The completed
Questionnaire is reviewed within our team. That review is followed by
a 45 minute telephone meeting with the Executive in order to
-
provide
feedback (also sent to the Executive in writing prior to
the meeting)
-
develop
an initial action plan and
-
determine
what additional support / interventions may be
appropriate.
What else is
available?

Psychometrics,
career
preference and aptitude tests (examples – DISC, Myers
Briggs, OPQ, Career Anchors, Glowinkowski GMI/
